Frequently asked questions

Fit and size

What size water bottle is suitable for my child?

Water bottles for preschoolers

For preschool children, 300–400 ml is usually sufficient. A bottle that is too large can be difficult for them to handle.

Water bottles for primary school children

Primary school children are better off using 500–600 ml bottles to ensure they have enough water for the day.

At what age can children use a water bottle?

Age

Children can generally drink independently from around 1 year old. From this age, a water bottle can be used, as long as the child can open it and drink without help.

Recommended model

For young children, it is helpful to choose a bottle with a spout. This makes drinking easier and prevents spills.

Our collection

In our collection, the smaller water bottles are specially designed for young children. They are lightweight, easy to hold, and equipped with a spout or straw, allowing children to drink safely at school or on the go.

Practical use

How long does a drink stay cold or warm in a thermal water bottle?

Warm drinks

A thermal water bottle keeps drinks warm for approximately 5 hours (300 ml) and 9 hours (500 ml), depending on the insulation quality of the bottle.

Cold drinks

For cold drinks, a 300 ml bottle stays cold for about 11 hours, and a 500 ml bottle for about 18 hours.

Factors affecting temperature

The length of time a drink stays warm or cold can vary due to ambient temperature, how often the bottle is opened, and the amount of liquid inside.

Is the water bottle leak-proof?

100% leak-proof

All our children’s water bottles are 100% leak-proof.

Check the lid

Always check that the lid is properly clicked shut and securely closed to prevent any leaks.

Can my child open and close the water bottle by themselves?

Easy click or push lid

Most children’s water bottles have an easy click or push lid that small hands can operate easily.

Quality and maintenance

Can the water bottle go in the dishwasher?

Water bottle in the dishwasher

Whether a children’s water bottle can go in the dishwasher depends on the model.

Thermal bottles and Petit Monkey models

Thermal water bottles and Petit Monkey bottles with pops should not go in the dishwasher. The rest of our collection can.

Bottle lids in the dishwasher

The lids of all children’s water bottles can safely be washed in the dishwasher.

Is the water bottle BPA-free and safe?

BPA-free and food-safe

All our children’s water bottles are BPA-free and made from materials that are safe for food.
