How to Buy Children’s Shoes Online in 5 Steps!

We know that buying shoes online for your son and/or daughter can be really tricky! You probably have lots of questions, like: what size should I buy? What if the shoes don’t fit? And so on.

That’s why Junior Steps has the solution for you! Want to avoid a wrong online purchase? Then be sure to follow these 5 steps!

Step 1: Measure the feet

Start by measuring both feet of your child. Place a sheet of paper lengthwise against the wall. Have your child stand straight (without leaning) on the paper. Both feet should be next to each other, with heels against the wall. Then, use a pen to mark the longest toe of each foot—it’s not always the big toe. Make sure the toes are relaxed and not curled! Now you can measure the foot length with a ruler and round to one decimal, measuring accurately in millimeters!

Next, compare your measurements with the table below (Note: do NOT add extra growth room; it’s already included in the table):

Falling between sizes? Round up! Otherwise, round to the nearest size.

Example: if you measure 11.2cm, choose size 19; if you measure 11.5cm, go for size 20.

Step 2: Go to our webshop and log in

Step 3: Find your favorite shoes

Now that you’ve checked your size and logged in, you can search for your favorite shoes on our webshop. It’s easy:

Go to our children’s shoes page
Filter by the size you measured (without adding extra growth room!)
Choose your favorite pair and always check if the model runs small or large (found in the product specifications!)

(Optional) Step 4: Online advice

Step 5: Place your order!
